Notice of Public Hearing

On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the West Melbourne City Council will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chamber, 2285 Minton Road, West Melbourne, FL 32904 on the following:

ORDINANCE NO. 2023-08

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO CHANGE THE FUTURE LAND USE FOR A 4.2 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT 4340 W. NEW HAVEN AVENUE AND AS MORE FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN FROM BREVARD COUNTY CC (COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL) TO CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE COM (COMMERCIAL); PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, REZONING A PARCEL OF LAND 4.2 ACRES LOCATED AT 4340 W. NEW HAVEN AVENUE FROM BREVARD COUNTY BU-1 (GENERAL RETAIL COMMERCIAL) TO CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE C-P (COMMERCIAL PARKWAY) WITH ICO (INTERCHANGE COMMERCIAL OVERLAY); PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  

Ordinances may be inspected by the public in the City Clerk Office, 2240 Minton Road, West Melbourne, FL. Interested parties may appear and be heard with respect to the ordinance. Persons wishing to appeal any decision made during the hearing will need a record of the proceeding and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is to be based. Persons with disabilities needing assistance or an interpreter to participate in this public hearing should contact the City Clerk, at 321-837-7774, at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. The public hearing may be continued to a time and date certain by announcement at this scheduled hearing without any further published notice.
