Cost of college went up for all students at the Florida Institute of Technology

Tuition and fees rose 1.5 percent for 2018-19 at the Florida Institute of Technology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Florida students paid $41,850 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $610 more than the $41,240 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 679 students received grants or scholarships totaling $16.7 million and 377 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (6,271), 2,926 students used grants or scholarships totaling $68.2 million, and 1,290 students took out $9.6 million in federal student loans.
