weVENTURE Women’s Business Center (WBC) is seeking nominations for the 2023 Women Who Rock Awards in honor of Women’s History Month.

The winners will be recognized at a luncheon Wednesday, March 22, at the Hilton Rialto in Melbourne. Bank of America is the presenting sponsor for the 2023 awards and will present the Small Business Owner of the Year Award.

“March is Women’s History Month and the perfect opportunity to celebrate women making history right here in our own community,” said Peter Mannino, president, Bank of America East Central Florida. “Bank of America is proud to support this event and help elevate the profile of local female leaders.”

weVENTURE WBC, based at the Bisk College of Business at Florida Tech, strives to be the leading voice and resource for professional women on the Space Coast and Treasure Coast.  Since 2012, weVENTURE has hosted the Women Who Rock Awards to elevate the profile of local women doing amazing work and leading through action.

This year, weVENTURE WBC is partnering with the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Florida State College to solicit nominations. Both programs are funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide business education, training and coaching to local entrepreneurs.

Women and companies may be nominated by their peers and the general public across six categories: Female Small Business Owner of the Year, Executive of the Year, Excellence in Mentorship, Women Trending in Tech, Excellence in Caregiving and Zonta Yellow Rose for Excellence in Community.

“The Women Who Rock Awards are a wonderful way to celebrate amazing women in our community who are leading both through the work they do and by the example they set for others,” said weVENTURE WBC Executive Director Kathryn Rudloff.  “It is important that we take the time to recognize, thank and celebrate female leaders in business and our community so that we might inspire the next generation of young women to follow in their footsteps.”

Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 17 and the winners will be announced at the awards luncheon.
