Brevard County’s 39 coaches earned an average salary of $31,390 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the fifth lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Florida post-secondary schools during 2022.

Brevard County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Florida Institute of Technology stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $52,601.

Male coaches of men's teams received $40,165 on average in Brevard County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $37,522.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
