City of Rockledge issued the following announcement on Feb. 04.
Beginning on Friday, Feb. 7, the Building Division will begin collecting sanitation impact fees on new construction, as authorized by Ordinance No. 1755-2019.

Revised Building & Permitting Fees Take Effect October 1, 2017
On September 6, 2017, City Council approved Ordinance No. 1713-2017, which provided for modifications to building and permitting fees. Please refer to the revised fee schedule (PDF) for additional details on the new fees, which become effective on October 1, 2017.
The City of Rockledge is a designated participant in Simplified, Nimble, Accelerated Permitting (S.N.A.P.), a program fostered by the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, and supports the Open for Business initiative, the nation’s first regional streamlined permitting initiative.
The Rockledge Building Department protects the citizens of Rockledge by the enforcement of the Florida Building Code and the National Electrical Code.
It is department policy to make every effort to assist citizens, both inside and outside of the office, with any problems or questions they may have.
