With Congressman Bill Posey’s (R-Rockledge) support, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 8281, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, legislation aimed at enhancing election security. The bill, which received bipartisan support, mandates that states implement measures to ensure only U.S. citizens can register to vote in federal elections and requires proof of citizenship for voter registration.

“Allowing non-citizens to register and vote in our federal elections is foreign interference and it cancels out the legal votes of American citizens,” said Congressman Bill Posey.
