NOTICE is hereby given that the City of West Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, has called for Public Hearing(s) to be held as follows:

The purpose of these hearing(s) will be to consider the adoption of the following:
ORDINANCE NO. 2023-06
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 98, ZONING, ARTICLE IV, OVERLAY DISTRICTS AND SPECIAL DISTRICTS, DIVISION 6. – TOWN CENTER OVERLAY DISTRICT, SECTION 98-970. – AREA; SECTION 97-971. – UNDERLYING ZONING DISTRICTS; AND SECTION 98-974. DESIGN REQUIREMENTS AND OTHER STANDARDS; UPDATING THE TOWN CENTER OVERLAY DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE, SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 98, ZONING, ARTICLE III. DISTRICTS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO AMEND DIVISION 21, COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA DISTRICTS (C-NH AND C-W) ELIMINATING AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FACILITIES, MINOR AND MAJOR; AMENDING VEHICLE REPAIR, MINOR AND MAJOR FOR CONSISTENCY; ELIMINATING REFERENCE TO AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FACILITIES AND REFERENCING VEHICLE REPAIR FACILITIES; AMENDING CHAPTER 63, ARTICLE I, INCORPORATING A DEFINITION FOR VEHICLE REPAIR; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A copy of the proposed ordinance(s) is available for public inspection at City Hall. All persons wishing to be heard should appear in person at these hearings or send written comments to the City Clerk. The public hearing may be continued to a time and date certain by announcement at this scheduled hearing without any further published notice. All persons and parties are hereby advised that if they should decide to appeal any decision made by the City with respect to any matter considered at the public meeting or hearing described in this notice, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, said person or party may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Chapter 286, Florida Statutes).
