City of Palm Bay issued the following announcement.
The City of Palm Bay Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the Florida Summer Virtual 5K walk/run now through September 22. A virtual 5k is a great way to get out, get moving, and explore your favorite local parks on your schedule. The goal is to offer a new way for residents to get out, get active, and get some exercise in Palm Bay.
All participants in the Palm Bay Parks & Recreation Florida Summer Virtual 5K will receive a t-shirt, finisher certificate, and their times will be posted on the city’s 5K webpage. Registration for the Florida Summer Virtual 5K begins on Monday August 10 at 9 AM and ends on Tuesday, September 22 at 5 PM. Participant's times can be submitted up to 10 days after the end of registration. This is a fun 5K, so participants can choose to walk or run the distance indoors or outdoors.
There are two pricing options: $20 for the race and your t-shirt shipped to you, or $15 for the race and your t-shirt which you make an appointment to pick up at the Tony Rosa Community Center, 1502 Port Malabar Blvd NE.
