CITY OF MELBOURNE: Public Hearing to be held During November 24 City Council Meeting: Brownfield Designation of 2550 Grant Street

City of Melbourne issued the following announcement.

The City of Melbourne, Florida, proposes to adopt the following resolution, which affects property outlined on the map in this advertisement:

Resolution No. 3969

A Resolution of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, Designating Real Property Parcel I.D. No. 28-37-10-00-46, Located at 2550 Grant Street, as a Brownfield Area; Providing for Compliance With Florida Statutes, Section 166.041 and Sections 376.77 Through 376.85; Providing for an Effective Date; and Providing an Adoption Schedule.

A public hearing on the resolution will be held on November 24, 2020 in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 900 East Strawbridge Avenue. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Contact the City Clerk if you would like to inspect a copy of the resolution. Interested parties may appear at this meeting and be heard with respect to the adoption of the resolution. Written comments may be submitted at or before the meeting. Address correspondence to the City Clerk, 900 East Strawbridge Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32901, or e-mail city.clerk@MLBFL.org. The public hearing may be continued from time to time.

Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the public that:  If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at its meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected persons may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.  This notice does not constitute consent by the City for the introduction or admission into evidence of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing special accommodation to participate in this meeting should contact the City Clerk’s Office (321-608-7220) at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
