City of Palm Bay issued the following announcement.
In place of the traditional parade down Malabar Road, the City of Palm Bay will host a Drive-Thru Holiday Light Parade on Saturday, December 5 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Fred Poppe Regional Park located at 1951 Malabar Road NW.
The City has adjusted the parade plan to allow spectators to enjoy the festivities safely from the comfort of their own vehicle, while minimizing potential exposure to COVID-19. There will be holiday-themed floats and displays, vehicles, singers, bands, and community groups positioned along the parade route ready to greet visitors as they drive by.
The Drive-Thru Holiday Light Parade on December 5 will serve as the official grand opening of the first-ever Palm Bay Light Fest. The Palm Bay Light Fest will transform Fred Poppe Regional Park into a winter wonderland filled with over 20 holiday light displays along a drive-thru path.
The Palm Bay Light Fest will be open from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on December 5-6, 11-13, 18-20, 26-27, and January 2-3 at Fred Poppe Regional Park located at 1951 Malabar Road NW. Entry to the Palm Bay Light Fest is free.
The Palm Bay Light Fest will not operate in inclement weather conditions. Call the rainout hotline at (321) 726-5682 to ensure that the Light Fest is open before visiting.
