The City of Cocoa is once again partnering with CareerSource Brevard to host junior and senior high school students for the Cocoa Works Summer Internship Program. This program is designed to create opportunities for our young Cocoa residents to learn more about their local government and the future they can have right here in their hometown. It allows students the opportunity to get hands-on career experience in a variety of career fields.

There are eight open positions in this year’s program for eligible High School students that live in the city limits of Cocoa. Opportunities include internships with the Information Technology, Public Works, Human Resources, and Utilities Departments. 

Each student will go through a week of career readiness training including how to write a resume and dress for an interview. Then they will have the opportunity to interview for the positions they are interested in with actual City of Cocoa hiring managers. 

Students will complete a total of 125 paid working hours in this five-week program which begins June 12, 2023, and runs through July 14, 2023.
